KCW Day 2

Today it's an old tank top upcycled as baby leggings:
I decided to use the front with flowers for one leg and the plain gray back for the other rather than stick to the flowers-front-plain-back distribution of the original garment, and I really like the assymetrical result:

Yes, it's all about chubby little feet here:-)
I really like upcycling my old clothes for the kids; I only deplore the fact that I used to wear such skimpy clothes in my youth;-) all finishing above my belly button (to show off my piercing!), which means they are already almost too short for my -sturdy, truth be told- 7-month old girl.. The belt for these leggings had to be made from another -skimpy- tank, and even so I suspect that, come spring, they will be more like capri pants..I do like the combination of grey and light pink though.
Next a dress to go with these!

  1. I really like the combination of grey and pink. I'm upcycling for older kids so the idea of adding a waistband in a contrasting fabric is a great one!
